Should juvenile offenders be tried and punished as adults?

I would say yes and no depending on the situation, for example, if it's a minor offense like stealing clothes then no, but if it was a serious problem where someone involved got killed/murder or raped then I would say yes. My reasons why I say this is because some juvenile offenders would take advantage of their youth and do anything they want without getting a serious punishment, so I think its better to tried those who take advantage of their youth then to let them off easy knowing that they will attempt it again later in life.

Why so many people eat junk food?

The reason why people eat junk food is because it tastes good and its cheap. I for one used to love eating junk food every day. I would usually eat chips, pizza, burgurs and drink soda while sitting down and watching tv or playing video games. It soon became a very bad habit for me, I was gettng fat and lazy and still hungry for more junk food. I soon came to realized that this has to stop, I couldn't walk up the stairs without breathing heavily and taking minor breaks along the way also my blood pressure jumped up to second level hypertension . So I decide to stop eating junk food and work out more often, atleast twice a day. Now I'm a bit more heathier than I used to be, even thought junk food can be very addicting you got to let it go, I learn that that hard way.

Should unapproved drugs be made available as a last resort to patients with conditions for which conventional treatments are known to be ineffective?

No way, their is a reason why it's an unapproved drug, one reason could be that it can caused death unpon taking the drug, another reason might be harsh effects to the body or major side effects. So I think its better to have a patient die from a natrual cause then to force them to take a unknown drug which isn't risk free, atleast this way your perpared for when the time comes and not regretting what you did.

Should English be declared the official language of the United States?

Yes of course, more than half of the United states citizens speak English so it would be common sense to make it to official language of the United states. This is the only way for everyone to communicate with each other due to the variety of languages that there is in the United State. Also, English is one of the easiest language to learn. In thus, this is why English should be the official language for the United States.

The Rise of Wives

I agree with this article because nowadays you don't see much guys out there trying very hard anymore, there's just too much distractions for guy and too much free time on their hands now. For example games, drinking, going out with friends and partying are one of the few things that guys likes to due. So i think that if theses things were to be taking away I think guys would do much better in life then what they are doing now.

Gender roles and Marriage: fact sheet

After reading this article I learn that the gender roles of a man and a woman was very different back in the 1990's compare to the current year of  2010. Back in the 1990's a man believed that a woman should stay home and take care of the house instead of working and that their work shouldn't interfere with being a mother. As time progressed in 2004 the U.S. department of labor reported at 60% of women were in the workforce. The article also talks about that the main reason for 30% of divorces was due to unrealistic expectations so it is very important for both male and female to understand their gender roles in a relationship.

Do "beauty" contests (Mr. America, Miss America, etc.) serve any purpose in society?

I think that some beauty contestants do serve a purpose to their society and some really don't. but for me I, myself, has never heard, or seen, any Mr.or Miss America or any other beauty contestant from other countries, done anything useful to help their society. But just because I never heard or see them do anything doesn't mean that they really don't, they can be doing things in private or off cameras that we don't know about or it can be the opposite. The world is a big place and no one can see everything that goes on in someone else s daily life, so in my own opinion, I think that some beatuy contestants do server a purpose and some don't.

Should public servants (like school teachers, hospital workers, trash collectors) have the right to strike?

Yes, like everyone else we're all human beings no matter what occupation you are, you should have the right to strike if you are being mistreated by your superiors or others. Imagine if  you were in a situation where get mistreated or get paid lower than everyone else although you been doing a good job, would you take it smoothly? Every job is important even if doesn't look like it. For example pen, pencil, and papers are small objects, but are used world wide everyday. So just because something is small and doesn't look important doesn't mean that it isn't, and its the same thing for public servants.

Should mandatory (or voluntary) prayer be permitted in public schools?

I think that mandatory(or voluntary) prayers shouldn't be permitted in public schools. My reason are because other people might feel uncomfortable or even scared. Prayers are harmless to people but it show what religion you follow and that can make people uncomfortable or scared. For example around the 12th century where Muslims and Christan fought for the holy city of Jerusalem (ex. Kingdom of Heaven). Although that was century's ago I think its best to be safe than sorry. Also we shouldn't force students against their will who don't want to practice prayers if they don't want to.

Should pornography be restricted by law?

I would say no, because some people consider it an art and others can use it as education learning experiment for future references. For example, the statue of David made in 1504 by an famous artist, Michelangelo, the statue of David is now one of the most renowned works of the Renaissance. One more example would be health classes in high school. If pornography was restricted by law then, sex ad wouldn't exist and underage teens wouldn't know how to protect themselves from Aid's, HIV, STD and pregnancy.
